Here it comes again! Toast to M acoustic, recorded one year ago.
The cute and talented people are: Anso Lundin, Victor Hvidfeldt, Per Nordmark and Johannes Borgström.
I sang two songs on a Swedish TV-show called ”På spåret” which could be translated to ”on the track” or maybe ”on the right track”. Hm. Anyways, it’s a game! The participants are to look at a monitor, pretending they’re not in a Tv-studio but on a train and then they guess where they’re going. They are given clues on the way and when they know the destination they have to answer some questions. Sometimes these questions are about bands and songs somehow related to the destinations. In this case Fleetwood Mac – Tell Me Lies and T’Pau – China In Your Hand. It might sound and look silly but don’t tell that to the Swedes, this show is very important in our culture, almost holy, just like IKEA!
The best christmas gift EVER must be this one! A remix of Meet a Bear by Dammit I’m Mad.
Have a listen:
Thanks everyone for 2010! The steak is in the oven, the fake champagne is on ice on the balcony. Biggest thank you goes to those who’ve been helping out – Per, Mathias, Johan, Märta, John, Tive, Anders, Johannes, Victor, Anso, Henrik, Markus, Oskar, Markus 2… I couldn’t have made Current Affair Medium Rare without you! And, since it wouldn’t have been so much of a point to make the record if everyone reading this wouldn’t have wanted it, another Biggest Thank You goes to YOU! It’s been a good year, and best of all, I’ve got a feeling 2011 will be even better! Current Affair Madium Rare made it to some lists of best record of the year (in swedish): DN, Nöjesguiden, Gaffa 1, 2, 3.
The toast for every New Year forever on:
I was asked to interpret Swedish poet Sonja Åkesson (1926-1977) together with some fine musicians. I immediately fell for a poem called ”Man får göra det bästa av allt” which means ”You Have to Make the Best Out of Everything” which I find to be very true! You have to get up, you have to get dressed, you have to eat, everything is ok or will probably be ok if it’s not ok right away… Have a listen!
I’m very proud to present the video for my next single Toast to M. It’s not a song about loss. It’s simply a toast or a postcard to someone who lived in my neighbourhood as I grew up.
The video is made by Sweden’s finest: Bold Faces.
